Support for implementation and maintenance of the MIS Standards within the province is provided by an extensive network of committees. These committees are comprised of representatives from the regional health authorities, the DHCS and the MIS staff at the Centre.
The Data Quality and Reporting Committee provides leadership within the province related to the implementation and application of the standards, use of information to support decision-making, as well as direction for the resolution of data quality issues. In addition, the discipline-specific MIS Committees provide leadership for implementation of the standards and use of the information to support decision-making within the regional health authorities in the province.
Each discipline-specific committee has developed a Reference Guide for MIS Standards, Workload Measurement and Statistical Data Collection. Copies of these documents can be obtained from the MIS staff of the Centre; the guides can be viewed by clicking on the links below.
