Provincial Reporting Requirements
The Department of Health and Community Services (DHCS) financial and statistical* reporting requirements are based on national minimum requirements for the Canadian MIS Database (CMDB). Additional data has been included in provincial reporting requirements to meet local information needs.
The Regional Health Authorities (RHAs) are required to submit financial and statistical data monthly to the provincial MIS database at the DHCS. The annual audited submission from each RHA (submitted at year end) is considered the "official" submission for the year; this is the information that is submitted by the DHCS to CIHI for inclusion in the CMBD.
